This is my third ASUS board, and I have had this board for a little over a month now. The core of my setup is:br /br / *OCed i7-930 at 3.8Ghzbr / *2 EVGA GTX 460 SC EE in an SLI configurationbr / *12GB of Corsair XMS3 Ram br /br /The OC was very easy to do; I hardly had to work at getting this board to bring the i7-930 to a stable 3.8Ghz while still under-volting.br /br /SLI worked pretty much as soon as I installed the latest Nvidia drivers, and haven't had a problem with it since.br /br /The RAM has ran very stable at 1448 MHZ and I did not have any problems with its configuration. br /br /Overall, I have to say that this board has been a pleasure to work with, and I am quickly understanding the reason why so many people like ASUS MOBOs. If you are looking for an X58 board, this is a great option to look at.

I have just lost a week of work!!!!!!!!br /br /THE BOARD GROUNDS OUT ON THE MOUNTING STUDS!!!!!! Also what they do not tell you about this board is it does NOT support RAID drive configuration for one thing!!!!!br /br /The big issue is that the board grounds out and kills your drives. Their support people do not tell you this and try to blame it on the power supply. This cost me a couple of days to get a new supply only to have the board not work. When I called ASUS back again I was told that the board was grounding out.br /br /Now comes the fix....... take the computer apart and put some black electrical tape over the mounting studs for the board and reassemble!!!!!!!! When I took the motherboard out, I saw it has several long wires, from components, sticking out so I trimmed them back and so far the board is working.br /br /The support people acted as if they could care.......br /br /The cost to me was the loss of two drives, loss of data, and the loss of 5 to 6 days of billable time.... being self employed and depending on a computer, this was a bitch in this economy!!!br /br /Yes the board is fast and works great for working with large image files and data sets, just be warned about the grounding issue!!!!!

I'm a computer tech. I deal with lots of computer companies. Asus has by far THE WORST customer service of any company I've ever dealt with!br /br /I'm in the process of trying to get a part replaced with the company. Asus refuses to do a cross-ship. If you use the Livesupport on the net don't expect much. Every time I've used it it takes forever to complete a case. I'm guessing you get multi-tasked with many other customers who are all waiting for answers for a tech.br /br /I've told numerous Asus tech people that I need the part ASAP. Asus has a real "can don't" attitude. Nothing can be done to speed the process up.br /br /I was told by one tech person I might have to wait 7-10 business days before my replacement part will ship.br /br /ASUS has fantastic m/boards. But if you want service buy from a different company.
